Research: "Sledgehammer"

After composing different experiments (in sketch book) I have decided to research deeper into animation.

The music video above is by the singer Peter Gabriel called "Sledgehammer" which was released in 1986. What separated this music video from others of the time was that this video used different forms of animation called; 'stop motion', 'claymation' and 'pixilation'. Which gave life to images in the song, however, these forms of animation are very time consuming, for example, the singer had to lay under a sheet of glass for 16 hours while filming the video.
